Watch: HMS Richmond is ready for Armed Forces Day 2023

The Royal Navy's HMS Richmond is sailing to Falmouth to play a leading role in the Armed Forces Day celebration.

The Type 23 frigate, which is the seventh Royal Navy ship to bear the name Richmond, will be in the Cornish coastal town on Saturday, 24 June.

Leading up to her departure from Plymouth, members of HMS Richmond's crew were busy preparing her for her public appearance, as shown in the video above.

Armed Forces Day is a chance for people to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to service families, veterans and cadets.
