James Hirst brings more than 30 years of journalism experience to the award-winning BFBS Sitrep podcast. He’s reported from more than 15 countries, including a total of ten months living and working alongside British troops in Afghanistan. He’s questioned Prime Ministers and NATO Secretaries General in front of the world’s media at NATO summits. Before joining BFBS in 2010 James worked at the BBC, ITN and LBC. He’s been editor of BFBS Sitrep since 2021.
