100 Hearts At Salisbury Cathedral For WW1 Centenary

Salisbury Cathedral has been playing host to an assortment of First World War memorabilia - including 100 heart-shaped pin cushions.

The hearts were created as part of the armed forces charity SSAFA's 100 Hearts for 100 Years campaign, commemorating the Great War.

Outside the cathedral, a WW1 Bristol Scout Plane, a medical tent and a replica trench gave visitors a unique insight into 1914 warfare.

SSAFA, the oldest UK military charity, was offering help to troops during the Great War, and continues to do so today.
