The United States military's first ever official rap artists set to go on tour

A United States military band is set to go on tour featuring two of its newest members, two rappers – yes, you read that right.
Staff Sergeants Lamar Riddick and Nicholas Feemster are the US Army's first official full-time rappers and now perform alongside the US Army Field Band which was originally formed in 1946.
The pair spoke to Forces News during their debut at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2022.
The rappers are due to tour with the musical band at 18 separate gigs in the Southeastern United States, including Florida, Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina.
In a post on Twitter, the US Army Field Band wrote: "We're excited to announce our 2023 Spring Tour! For our fans in the Southeastern United States, please come join us for an amazing concert full of inspiring stories and powerful music!"
The United States Army Field Band's mission is said to be a way for the Army to connect with the American civilian population. Its members perform around 400 concerts a year and the band has toured in all 50 states of the United States and in 25 countries.
