Remembering Muslim Soldiers Who Died For Britain

Schoolchildren have been remembering the Muslim soldiers who fought for Britain in the two world wars.

The teenagers, from Woking High School in Surrey, visited the Muslim Peace Garden as part of a project on Indian soldiers.

They read out poems they had written and displayed their own artwork, as well as learning about Indian involvement in the wars, and about the Muslim community in Woking.

The garden was part-funded by an Armed Forces Covenant grant, and was officially opened in 2015.
