Scottish War Blinded Embark on Normandy Battlefield Tour
A group of veterans have toured Normandy visiting some of the key sites of the 1944 D-Day push with Scottish War Blinded.
The charity helps former servicemen and women who have suffered sight loss.
There were veterans from a number of generations present - including some who had themselves fought on the very battlefields they were visiting.
Hugh Maguire, who was in his early twenties when he lost his good friend while fighting side by side against the Nazis in Normandy, spoke to Forces Welfare about his memories.
