New funding key to making UK 'best country in the world to be a veteran', minister says

New funding for projects that can revolutionise veteran support can help to make the UK "the best country in the world to be a veteran", according to defence minister Johnny Mercer.

Speaking on a visit to the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London, the new Minister for Veterans' Affairs said the Government's new £5m Veterans' Health Innovation Fund is crucial.

It invites bids from individuals and companies to offer solutions for enhancing care for former service personnel.
