Biggest Equestrian Event In The Forces Calendar Wows Crowds

One of the biggest horse events in the military calendar is taking place this weekend.

The UK Armed Forces Equestrian Championships has been held for the last four years in Buckinghamshire.

It’s open to riders from the Army, RAF, Royal Navy and also the civilian police and dependents. Events include show jumping and dressage.

Some of the best military riders will be selected to compete at the Royal Windsor and Olympia Horse Shows later in the year.

Riders are not just from mounted regiments - anyone with an interest in the sport can take part.
