British Army soldiers pass out with new musical skills

Soldiers who joined the Army School of Ceremonial have passed out as military musicians.

Their musical role is secondary, with all the soldiers trained as infanteers.

Many of the troops would never have picked up an instrument before, but will now take the newfound musical skills out on ceremonial duties.

Their achievement was marked with a ceremony on the parade square at Helles Barracks, Catterick.
