Duchess of Cornwall presents medals to 3 Rifles during Edinburgh visit

The Duchess of Rothesay has presented medals to soldiers from 3 Rifles during a visit to their Edinburgh base.

Camilla took over as Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles from Prince Philip last year, with this trip her first visit to the regiment's Scottish-based battalion since taking up the position.

She also spoke to some families of the troops at Dreghorn Barracks in the Scottish capital.

The visit comes on a busy day of royal engagements for the Duchess ahead of the weekend's state opening of the Scottish Parliament.
