CSG21: A round-up of the historic deployment

Royal Navy flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth has led the Carrier Strike Group (CSG21) across three oceans and five seas, sailing 49,000 nautical miles.

The seven-month mission came to an end on Thursday as the final ships from the formation returned to their home ports in Portsmouth and Plymouth.

Commander of CSG21 Commodore Steve Moorhouse thanked everyone for their support and interest in the "historic" deployment saying the Strike Group "have been the finest ambassadors" for defence.
