Generals plant 68,000 trees to honour the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Generals at Montgomery House in Aldershot are set to plant 68,000 trees – a tree for every Army cadet – as part of the Queen's Green Canopy scheme.

The Queen's Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree-planting initiative created to mark the monarch's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, inviting people from across the UK to 'Plant a Tree for the Jubilee'.

With a focus on planting sustainably, the QGC encourages the planting of trees to create a legacy in honour of the Queen's leadership of the nation, which will benefit future generations.
