Grenadier Guards Demonstrate Their Awesome Firepower On Salisbury Plain

The Grenadier Guards are on standby to deploy as part of NATO's Spearhead Force, otherwise known as the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force.

On the Salisbury Plain training ground in the United Kingdom, the regiment’s Support Company recently demonstrated the capabilities of various weapons systems.

Warrant Officer Dave Lawrenson told NATO TV:

"It shows quite clearly that if friendly forces find themselves on the battlefield, that certain weapons systems are very quick to respond to what the enemy is doing and other weapons systems take a bit of time to get sorted out and bring more effective fire onto whatever that enemy happens to be."
