HMS Severn Pays Final Visit To Newport
A Royal Navy ship due to be decommissioned this month has arrived in Wales where the crew is rehearsing for a Freedom Parade taking place tomorrow.
The ship's company is taking a break from fisheries protection duties for a final stop at the ship's affiliated town of Newport.

HMS Severn is also used for escorting foreign vessels like this Russian ship through British waters.
The ship was also designed to carry out a number of other tasks including environmental protection, search and rescue and maritime security.
While docked, the ship, which is a river class offshore patrol vessel, is only open to schools and not to the public.
