Britain's most senior sailor, First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Ben Key, joined 7,000 ceremonial troops rehearsing at RAF Odiham ahead of the coronation.

Speaking about King Charles' time spent in military service, the First Sea Lord said: "He is our Commander-in-Chief and I think it is a joy for all of us that we have in him someone who has a deep understanding of what it's like to serve.

"He knows our world really well and, throughout his life, has continued to demonstrate close interest in support for the men and women who wear his uniform."
