Meeting the military ambulance support as COVID efforts continue

Forces News has met up with personnel called to help UK ambulance services.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) in Bracknell, Berkshire, has seen health staff working side-by-side with members of the Armed Forces.

The Omicron variant of COVID has meant 32 personnel will provide assistance, responding to its fourth Military Aid to the Civil Authorities request since March 2020.

SCAS is able to get one extra ambulance on the road for every two military personnel who join.
