The Royal Air Force has been conferred the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar during a military parade on the Rock.

Personnel from RAF Gibraltar and British Forces Gibraltar were present at the ceremony, along with representatives from the Queen's Colour Squadron, 32 Squadron, 4624 Squadron and local air cadets from No 2 Air Training Corps Squadron.

When presenting the freedom, the Mayor of Gibraltar highlighted the role the RAF had played in the nation's recent history.

He also said the RAF's support of the "government of Gibraltar and the people of Gibraltar in providing the transport of the COVID-19 vaccine will never be forgotten and will be noted for future generations".
