Tanks Of The Queen's Royal Hussars Ready For Anything

Storming onto the training area on the Hohne ranges, the Challenger 2 tanks of C Squadron, the Queen's Royal Hussars (QRH), are a formidable force.

On this occasion, they got to display their firepower in front of Lt Col Mike Cornwell, Commanding Officer and battlegroup commander of the 1st Battalion Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.

They were taking part in an annual range training package, where tanks and their crews are put through crew tests to ensure that they are ready for whatever the busy year may throw at them.

With D squadron deployed to Estonia, and A and B Squadrons adding support to the Vanguard Armoured Infantry Brigade, QRH's C Squadron gives essential firepower to the VJTF (Very High Readiness Joint Task Force) battlegroup.

This is the second of a two-part series on the Queen's Royal Hussars.
