Brexit: The Consequences For Scotland And UK Defence
The UK has voted to leave the European Union, but in Scotland the results of the referendum were very different and this could impact UK defence.
Scotland's largest city woke up on Friday to a decision made about its future that many didn't want.
Whilst large areas of the UK voted to leave the European Union, in Scotland, all 32 of the local authority areas voted to remain.
Countrywide, 62 per cent of Scots wanted to stay part of the EU, and that split is likely to have huge consequences.
Defence could be one of them because Scotland is vital to the UK's defences.
It's the site of thousands of defence jobs, a huge recruitment ground for the British Armed Forces and, of course, home to the controversial Trident nuclear submarines.

The split in the EU referendum brings all of that into question again as it could spark a new call for independence in Scotland.
The sweeping success of the Scottish National Party in last year's General Election gave them the strongest mandate they've ever had in Scotland.
But now they say this decision made about the EU doesn't represent Scotland's views.
During the Scottish independence referendum, the fear of being kicked out of the EU was one of the biggest arguments against a yes vote.
Now that decision to leave has been made, it remains to be seen what is next for Scotland and defence.
