Ukraine spots an opportunity to take down Russian war machine: target oil refineries

Ukraine has recently ramped up its attacks on Russian oil refineries. Since August, it has carried out 17 strikes on a dozen refineries, many of which are hundreds of miles inside the Russian border.

To carry out such action, Ukraine is drawing upon its burgeoning homegrown drone industry, which, together with cruise missiles such as the Flamingo, can hit targets up to 2,000 miles away – deep into Kremlin territory.

The impact of these strikes is significant and far-reaching – both for Russia's war machine and its domestic environment. BFBS Forces News reporter Simon Newton has more in his video report.
