US, Australian and Japanese Air Force perform 'Elephant Walk' formation

The US Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force have performed a formation known as an Elephant Walk while training in Guam.

It sees aircraft participate in a close formation taxi and is used to practise for any emergencies that may need a lot of aircraft to take off at once.

It took place during Cope North 2022 at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

The base is used by US and allied forces to exercise humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts – with interoperability to prepare and recover from natural disasters.
