View From The Cockpit: Watch 360-Degree Footage As Merlin Lands On HMS Queen Elizabeth

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to land a helicopter on board an aircraft carrier?
Thanks to new 360° footage released by the Royal Navy of a Merlin landing on HMS Queen Elizabeth , we certainly know more about what it looks like.
The footage was captured during Westlant 19, pushing the functional limits of the carrier and F-35 fighter jets off the east coast of the United States.
Watch: Get a 360° pilot's view from 820 Naval Air Squadron's Merlin as it lands on HMS Queen Elizabeth's deck.
Westlant 19 involves F-35 fighters, testing them as part of a Carrier Task Group, which also includes Type 45 destroyer HMS Dragon and Type 23 frigate HMS Northumberland.
For the first time ever, British F-35Bs are being tested with HMS Queen Elizabeth during Westlant 19.
Last year, American F-35B Lightning aircraft flown by British pilots landed on the carrier's deck for the first time.
Relations with the United States are also a focus of the trip, as personnel will be working alongside the US Marine Corps.
