Sandhurst in the sand: What is left of UK-built Afghan army officer training complex?
'Sandhurst in the Sand' was supposed to be Britain's legacy in Afghanistan.
West of Kabul, the country's capital, the complex was intended to be used for training the next generation of Afghan army officers.
But now, after the Taliban took control of the country more than a year ago, satellite pictures show that although the buildings remain, the soldiers who trained there are long gone.
The video above shows the remaining complex of buildings with the parade ground at its centre where, 10 years ago, the first Afghan National Army officers started their training, a place where the country's future military leaders could be born.
