Exercise Hedgehog: What is the major NATO exercise under way in the Baltics?

One of the largest military exercises to have ever taken place in the Baltics was getting underway on Monday.

Exercise Hedgehog sees 15,000 troops from 14 countries come together on the Estonia-Latvia border.

The UK recently doubled its military presence in the eastern European country in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Among the British units deploying on the exercise are soldiers from the Royal Welsh Battlegroup and Royal Tank Regiment.

Ex Hedgehog is set to run for two weeks.
