Op Pitting: RAF personnel receive honours for service
Some of the Royal Air Force servicemen and women who took part in the evacuation of thousands of Afghans after the Taliban seized control of the country have been honoured in a ceremony at RAF Brize Norton.
Service personnel were presented with the Op Pitting clasp to wear on top of their Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan.
As part of Operation Pitting, the RAF flew 260,000 miles, making 330 flights and airlifting up to 1,000 people a day to safety in the United Kingdom.
