JAK Brew: Former Queen’s Guard Launches Outdoor Drinkware Company During Lockdown

A veteran-run company that sells quality military-style tactical flasks and supplies has been thriving during the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Jak Brew Co. was founded by former Grenadier Guard & Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Julian Perreira.

He launched the business in the early stages of the pandemic – which caused him to lose out on an employment opportunity, so he decided to go it alone.

Losing out on that job opportunity really gave Julian the nudge that he needed to get his business idea off the ground.

After spending 14 years in the British Army, Julian, 32, said he noticed there was a gap in the market, adding:

“I was never issued, or could find a quality insulated flask that looked the part or performed how it should.

"I either had to spray paint a flask to make it suitable for tactical situations, or when I opened a flask at 2am to sip on a nice hot brew, it would be cold.”

The mission at JAK Brew Co. is simple - provide the best drinkware, for use in either the office, at home or dug in a trench during military operations.
