Watch: HMS Queen Elizabeth sets sail from Portsmouth

HMS Queen Elizabeth has set sail from Portsmouth.

It is understood the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier is leaving to conduct F-35 training.

The Royal Navy fleet flagship returned from the Carrier Strike Group 21 (CSG21) mission, her maiden deployment, in December.

Watch: HMS Queen Elizabeth made her return to Portsmouth at the end of 2021.

CSG21 saw HMS Queen Elizabeth sail 49,000 nautical miles, travelling to the Indo-Pacific region and back, alongside the Royal Navy's HMS Diamond, HMS Destroyer, HMS Richmond and HMS Kent.

Eight other ships and a submarine made up the strike group â€“ including Dutch frigate HNLMS Evertsen and US destroyer USS The Sullivans.

In February, HMS Queen Elizabeth held her first on-board boxing show with Forces competitors.
