Riding in style: Army band plays tune while travelling through busy Hanoi street on rickshaws

Watch: Army band performs on rickshaws through bustling Hanoi.

The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers is used to performing in different locations - but on rickshaws through the busy streets of the Vietnamese capital is surely the most unusual yet!

The band has shared a video of its brass quintet performing a quick tune during a cyclo tour of Hanoi.

The video, seen above, shows five musicians performing while travelling on the rickshaws - a mode of transport often seen in Asia - along a bustling Hanoi street.

"We're pretty sure this is a first for a British Military Band.... possibly any band anywhere!" the band wrote on Facebook as it shared the video.

"This morning the Brass Quintet took a cyclo tour around the streets of Hanoi, but we did it in style!"

5 Fusiliers also shared the video on X, formerly Twitter.

"Some of the Fusiliers Band are in Vietnam as part of a UK Diplomatic cooperation ceremony," the post said.

"The band plays with British style and Vietnamese transport!"
