Meet the team supporting members of the RAF Family for more than 100 years

Watch: The team supporting members of the RAF family

For more than a century, the RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) has been helping current and former members of the Air Force as well as their families.

The charity offers important care and assistance to those who have served â€“ anything from home repairs to support for those recovering from injuries or bereavement.

BFBS Forces News has joined the fund's assistance team, which travels across the country helping the RAF family and providing that vital help in their homes.

RAFBF will consider any request for assistance, however big or small, and looks to provide a tailor-made approach to each individual situation.

This can range from providing mobility aids and confidential counselling to financial grants, and they offer a range of support tailored to the individual's needs.

The fund receives no routine government funding so relies on support from the public.

Donations can be made to the RAF Benevolent Fund here.
