RAF St Mawgan flag-raising marks countdown to Armed Forces Day

Military personnel, veterans and civil dignitaries gathered at RAF St Mawgan in Cornwall for a flag-raising event, marking the countdown to Armed Forces Day.

The flag relay ceremony was attended by Newquay town mayor, Councillor Margaret North, who thanked the Armed Forces community for their service.

Armed Forces Day on 24 June is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the military community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.
