Al-Qaeda Planning "Mass Attacks" Against West, Says MI5 Head
A group of core Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria is planning "mass casualty attacks" against the West, the head of MI5 has warned.
It comes as terrorist attacks continued in France on Friday with two hostage situations developing.
The first took place in a village North East of Paris and ended with the gunmen suspected of carrying out Wednesday's attack on the Charlie Hebdo Magazine being shot dead with their hostage freed.
The other hostage situation was in a kosher foodstore in Paris.
French Police moved in and killed a gunman late in the afternoon - four hostages were also killed.
