Al-Qaeda Terrorist-Turned British Spy Speaks Out
A former al-Qaeda terrorist, who swore an allegiance to Osama bin Laden before switching sides and working for the West, has spoken out for the first time.
Using the name Aimen Dean, he told the BBC's HARDtalk programme he infiltrated the terror network and informed the British intelligence services about its activity.
He also claims young jihadists are being convinced to fight for revenge rather than a noble cause and that the radicalisation of young Muslims has changed since he was a teenager.
Kaija Larke reports.
