Amnesty Images Show "Boko Haram Destruction" in Nigeria
Amnesty International have released satellite images suggesting that there has been a high death toll and widespread destruction in Nigerian towns attacked by Boko Haram.
The images show over 3,700 structures having been damaged or destroyed in two neighbouring towns - Baga and Doron Baga.
Above satellite images were taken on January 2 and January 7. Healthy vegetation is shown in red. Copyright Amnesty.
The human rights group called the attacks the 'largest and most destructive' yet, and said the recent terror attacks in Paris had distracted attention from the atrocities.
Many are now questioning whether Nigeria's military can cope alone, or needs greater international assistance.
