Army Apache Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing
An Army Apache attack helicopter gunship was forced to make an emergency landing on a school boys playing field in at Monmouth School in South Wales.
The Ministry of Defence said the helicopter had to land after suffering technical issues with the onboard flight computer.
A spokeswoman for the school said that the pilot, a former pupil at the school who knew the area well, phoned to say that they had to land as quickly as possible, and suggested that the school was the best place to land.
They touched down at around 11am on Thursday and remained there overnight. It was still there on Friday morning.
"It is thought the gunship will be fixed and on its way by the end of the day,"
