"Britain is at the Mercy of Russian Aircraft"
Britain “is at the mercy” of Russian aircraft because its air defence system has been halved since the end of the Cold War, according to a former head of the RAF.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Graydon’s remarks came after RAF Typhoons were scrambled on Wednesday to intercept a pair of Russian long-range bombers flying off the coast of Cornwall.
He spoke to our reporter Hannah King, after the Prime Minister's said Britain had the capability to deal with Russian incursions.
