British Army Challenger II Tank Crushes Toyota
A German learner driver narrowly escaped death when she collided with a 70-tonne Challenger II tank in Augustdorf, Germany.
The 18-year-old woman pulled out of a side road into a column of British tanks but escaped unharmed. The same cannot be said of her Toyota hatchback however, that will cost upwards of £8,600 to repair.
The woman's Toyota hatchback did not fare so well against the 70-tonne Challenger tank.
Police officers in Lippe released pictures of the crash, and said the teenage driver emerged from the wreckage unscathed.
There was no damage to the tank.
The incident is the second in Germany involving a British military vehicle in recent years.
In February 2015 a Warrior crashed into an elderly Germany couple's front garden.
