British Led War Games "Biggest Ever"

Fourteen countries will be involved in Exercise Joint Warrior this year, in what is described as the “biggest yet” to reassure the tense Baltic states under threat from instability in the region.

At least 55 NATO warships, 70 aircraft and 13,000 sailors have arrived in Scotland to take part in demos including submarine hunts, amphibious landings and ship against ship attacks.

They take place against a background of rising concern about Russian expansionism

Joint Warrior is held twice a year - in April and October - and includes several locations in Scotland and in the sea off its coast.
