Calls For Government To Answer Lariam Questions

The government is facing calls to answer questions over a controversial anti-malaria drug given to British soldiers.

A group of MPs says it wants to know how many servicemen and women have complained about side-effects after taking mefloquine - or Lariam as it is more commonly known.

It comes after Conservative MP Johnny Mercer said last month that he's received dozens of letters from service personnel claiming they have become affected since taking it.
