Ceremonies Throughout World Mark Centenary of Gallipoli Campaign

Ceremonies have been held throughout the world to mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign.

Prince Charles spoke at an event in Turkey to mark Anzac Day, whilst there was also a service at the Wellington Arch and Her Majesty The Queen led a ceremony at the Cenotaph in London, where she was joined by senior British politicians and representatives of other countries who fought in the campaign.

The commemoration was also attended by relatives of those who fought, and it was an emotional day for some of them.

The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, meanwhile, met relatives of veterans who fought in Gallipoli.

They were on board the Royal Navy’s flagship HMS Bulwark in Turkey’s Dardanelles straits.
