"Coalition Airstrikes Hit 18 IS Targets"
The US military has confirmed that coalition airstrikes have hit 18 Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq, including a weapons storage facility and an IS fighting position near Kobani.
It comes as multiple militant attacks in the northern Sinai in Egypt killed at least 26 people and wounded many others.
Most of the dead were members of the security forces.
A group linked to the Islamic State said it carried out the attack.
The RAF, meanwhile, has confirmed further airstrikes over Iraq as part of the campaign against IS.
Armed patrols by Tornado GR4s stationed at RAF Akrotiri targeted a checkpoint and an area used by the group.
It comes after the arrival earlier this week of E-3D Sentry aircraft in Cyprus, aimed at increasing the RAF's capabilities on the island.
