Commonwealth Unites For Last Post Commemoration
Since 1928 the Last Post has been played under the Menin Gate in the Belgian Town of Ypres, every night, as a memorial to the missing from the First World War.
Last night was the 30,000th time this ritual has taken place, and an international ceremony took place to honour it.
The ceremony reflecting the event in London took place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The Last Post was first sounded at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Menin Gate Memorial at its unveiling in 1927.
