Descendants of Gallipoli Fighters Invited to Commemorations

A campaign has been launched to invite the descendants of those who fought at Gallipoli during the First World War to attend its centenary commemorations at London's Cenotaph in April.

It was one of the major campaigns of the conflict, with over half a million Allied troops fighting in it, including soldiers from Australia, New Zealand and British India.

New Zealand's Prime Minister was at the launch at the Imperial War Museum alongside the British Culture Secretary.
