US military parade raises eyebrows among drill aficionados, so is British best?

Military drill done well looks amazing and can act as a grand statement of intent for the nation, screaming "look at us here – imagine what we'd be like on the battlefield".

Last weekend's Trooping the Colour showcased the British military in all its splendour, with pomp, pageantry, precision and perfection on display.

A military parade in the United States, meanwhile, to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Army, raised some eyebrows among drill aficionados for being "lacklustre".
