Fight Against ISIS in Iraq "Moving in the Right Direction"

The US Vice President Joe Biden has delivered an upbeat evaluation of Iraq's progress against militant group Islamic State during a speech at Washington's National Defense University.

The Vice-President spoke of how the group's momentum in Iraq had been stopped.

He praised the progress made by Iraqis in the battlefield, limiting Islamic State's mass and manoeuvre abilities.

However, Biden acknowledged that there is still work to be done against IS, and urged Iraq's political leaders not to lose their urgency and focus in the fight ahead.
