"Forces Children Should be Allowed Holiday in Term Time"
Forces families should be able to take their children on holiday during term time, according to Baroness Floella Benjamin.
She called for a change in the law during a debate in the House of Lords, after a soldier was fined £500 for taking his children out of school at the end of a tour of duty but during term time.
The MoD has been discussing the issue with the Department for Education.
