Forces Medics Bringing Expertise to the NHS

The Director of Army Nursing, Colonel David Bates, has visited a hospital where reservists and forces nurses work alongside civilian medical staff. 
 
At the Royal Stoke University Hospital military, skills and NHS technology are being combined to offer improved patient care.
 
It comes as the transfer of skills to the military is likely to increase, with the government pushing for more reservists in the future make-up of Britain's armed forces.
 
Forces TV's Welfare Reporter Victoria Smith spoke to a medic who is bringing his expertise to the NHS.
