Forces Prepare For Joint Warrior Exercise

NATO's bi-annual Exercise Joint Warrior kicks off at the end of this week.

Running from the 11th April through to the 24th April it will feature 55 ships and submarines, 70 aircraft and 13,000 personnel from 13 participating countries.

The Royal Navy will be out in force off the coast of Scotland, with amphibious landings on Western beaches.

Aircraft will also be operating from the likes of RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Brize Norton, RAF Leeming and RAF Marham.

The exercise, designed to improve joint military operations between participating countries, will also include airborne landings around Salisbury Plain.
