Forces TV Meets Personnel Honoured at Operational Awards

Last week 139 members of the British Armed Forces were honoured at the military's annual Operational Awards.

One of those to be recognised was Squadron Leader Charlotte Thompson-Edgar, who received the Associate Royal Red Cross medal for her work in overseeing and providing training for medical emergency response teams in Afghanistan.

Charlotte told Forces TV reporter Emma Nelson about her reaction on finding out about the accolade.

Meanwhile, Emma also met two other recipients of awards - Lieutenant Wendy Frame and Petty Officer Aircrewman Russell Adams.

Wendy received an MBE for her work as a deputy marine engineering officer on board HMS Daring, while Russell was awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal for his part in the daring rescue of six men from a French fishing boat in treacherous weather conditions.
