"Fundamental Reassessment of UK's Role in World Needed"
MPs have called for a “fundamental reassessment” of Britain’s role in the world before any new shake-up of the armed forces.
The House of Commons Defence Committee has published a list of questions which it says need answering as part of the next Strategic Defence and Security Review.
It recommended a completely new National Security Strategy before work begins on the review, rather than the two documents being drawn up together.
