Future Armed Forces Ombudsman: "Brave New World" Ahead

The new Service Complaints Commissioner says it'll be a "brave new world" when her office gets more powers and her title changes to Armed Forces Ombudsman at the end of the year.

Nicola Williams has told Forces TV that the chain of command has long been aware of the need to improve how it handles complaints about issues like bullying, harassment, and discrimination.

The commissioner acknowledged that the delay in processing complaints is still the biggest issue that needs to be addressed during a discussion about her predecessor's final annual report with Forces TV reporter Julie Knox.
